Background

Over the years of running MuslimParents.SG, we realise that part of being a good Muslim parent is first and foremost, finding the right partner for you to raise a family together.

And as we grew, we also realise that there are many singles around us who want to experience the joy of having a family, but do not have a partner. Making du'a for the right one is important, but sometimes a little bit of help in coordinating that moment to find someone for you might be necessary.

Does any of this sound familiar to you?

1. Too shy. No, I don't know how to put it out there that I am looking for someone . We hear you and we understand. So let us do the initial bit of helping you start the ball rolling.

2. No opportunities to meet other people . Once I started working, there are hardly any in-person social platforms for me to meet new people . Yup, so let us arrange events where you can see how the other person might behave in different social settings.

3. Tried other platforms before but somehow the people you've been set up with do not share the same religious or world view . Let us do the screening on this aspect for you.

4. Don't want to go on dates before marriage . Let us arrange the events for you, and if you happen to see the potential in another person, let us arrange a facilitated and chaperoned first meeting for you. We will also include activities for you to do so that you can see if you are compatible.

About the Professionals Picnic:

This event will give you the opportunity to meet other Muslim professionals who are also looking for a potential partner. 

There will be games and activities designed to help you get a chance to interact with others, a short brunch to carry on conversations, and a short tazkirah and Q&A at the end.

Most importantly, when you sign up for this event, we will keep you in our Singles Database for 3 months. This Singles Database will include the other participants in this event as well as other Sacred Weave events. You will be matched with someone who meets more than 50% of our compatibility criteria test and upon your agreement, we will arrange for a chaperoned, facilitated first meet-up.

Eligibility:

• Participants must NOT be married at the point of registration.

• This event is open to singles, widow / widowers, divorcees.

Post-registration:

• Participants will be sent a WhatsApp message within 3 working days after registration. The message will provide a link to a Google form for you to send more details about yourself.

• Kindly fill in the Google form at least 3 days before the event.
